Meet the Team
KVIE and the Fundraising Events team are proud to present the 2019 KVIE Art Auction. Below you will meet a few of the people responsible for putting on this annual event, which represents some of the best art this region has to offer.
D. Oldham Neath – Art Curator
D. is responsible for selecting all the artwork that becomes part of the Art Auction collection each year. In addition to that, D. has the important job of selecting the Art Auction award jurors, selecting when pieces are shown on-air, and serves as an on-air art expert and co-host all 3 days of the auction. This is D.’s tenth year as Art Curator. Prior to being Curator, she was an on-air art expert for KVIE for twelve years!
Steve Sweeney – On-Air Fundraising Producer
Steve has been involved in all aspects of the Art Auction during his time with KVIE, and is now the Producer. Steve is responsible for the on-air presentation of the live, televised event and the coordination of staff and volunteers to make the show run as smoothly as possible. This will be Steve’s sixth Art Auction.
Holly Healy – Community Engagement & Events Project Manager
Holly joins KVIE as a new staff member this spring, and her primary Art Auction role will be planning and executing the Art Auction Preview Gala. The Preview Gala is the annual party which takes place the week before the Art Auction. Artists and the community come together to view all the art in the collection while sipping on regional wine and eating tastes from local restaurants. During the Auction, Holly will be assisting behind the scenes during the televised event. This will be her first Art Auction. Welcome Holly!
Virginia Michel – Fundraising Events Assistant
Virginia will be assisting in all facets of the auction including art intake, volunteer coordination, and auction planning. During the auction she will be training volunteers on fielding auction bidding, and serving as a Floor Producer. This will be Virginia’s third Art Auction.
Sean Odom – Fundraising Events Support
Sean is new to the Fundraising team this year, and will be assisting both the Preview Gala and live Auction in a variety of ways. This is Sean’s second Art Auction, having supported the event last year with art handling and packaging. Welcome Sean!
