Meet the Team
PBS KVIE and the Fundraising Events team are proud to present the 2021 PBS KVIE Art Auction. Below you will meet a few of the people responsible for putting on this annual event, which represents some of the best art this region has to offer.
Jill Estroff – Art Curator
Jill is responsible for selecting all the artwork that becomes part of the art auction collection. Additionally, Jill has the important job of selecting the awards jurors, arranging the art for presentation both on-air and for public display, and ensuring that artist information is current and accurate. This is Jill's first year as art curator. However, she is no stranger to the auction, having participated as an artist for several years. Her work has also been exhibited in the PBS KVIE Gallery. We look forward to Jill sharing her expertise with us for 2021 and beyond!
Steve Sweeney – On-Air Fundraising and Events Supervisor / Art Auction Producer
Steve has been involved in all aspects of the art auction during his time with PBS KVIE. Steve is now responsible for the on-air presentation of the live, televised event and oversees coordination of staff and volunteers to make the show run as smoothly as possible. This will be Steve’s eighth Art Auction.
Holly Healy – Community Engagement & Events Project Manager
Holly has many roles within the art auction project. This year, she will be overseeing events planned to take place during the public display of artwork at PBS KVIE in September. Guests will be able to experience the art in person and pre-bid in anticipation of the live auction. Additionally, Holly will have several roles in preparation for the live production. This will be her third art auction.
Catherine Souza – Fundraising Events Assistant
Catherine will be assisting in all facets of the auction including art intake, volunteer coordination, and auction planning. As the primary artist liaison, Catherine communicates frequently with artists to collect artwork information, artist statements, and biographical information for on-air presentation. During the auction she will be training volunteers on fielding auction bidding and serving as a floor producer. This will be Catherine’s second art auction but first one as part of the Fundraising Events team. Welcome Catherine!
